September 2009 Update:

2009 has been much quieter!  We did manage to have a litter of puppies with
Burnie and Johanna Hanson's Grifter at the end of 2008.  Unfortunately we lost
the boy I was going to keep out of the litter.  But I do co-own Goldie with Lee
Royer.  Then Lear sired a repeat litter with Ceil Dove's Maggyck.  She managed
to have just 3 more puppies.  I also tried to breed Passport but only got one
puppy.  Laphroaig's Single Shot d'Lux (Shooter) has managed to be one of the
most expensive puppies I have ever produced!!

I did finish Thistleglen's Tamdhu d'Lux in June.  Tamdhu is Jeanne Frye's girl but
I co-own her and help out Jeanne by showing her.  I also have been showing
Stag's Leap d'Lux (Buck) quite a bit this year and he managed to finishing his
championship at the December show in Bethlehem, PA.  Shooter is debuting his
show career at the Eastern Regional show in October.  I have also been showing
Foxcliffe's Islay Trilogy d'Lux (Islay, pronounced Eye-Lay) and she managed to
win the Puppy Sweepstakes at the Jersey Hound Association show.
January 2009 Update:

2008 brought lots of new champions to Deerhounds d'Lux!  Ch. Tomintoul
d'Lux, Ch. Tobermory d'Lux, Ch. Chase Farm Prestige d'Ecosse d'Lux, Ch.
Chase Farm Poit Dhubh d'Lux, Ch.Highland Fusilier d'Lux and Ch.
Heatherdale d'Lux!

Lear has been very busy as a daddy too.  Treasure had her litter on Leap
Year Day, then Jeanne Frye's Nola had a nice litter and finally Ceil Dove's
Maggyck had a litter of three.

July 2010 Update:

May we went to the SDCA Specialty in Vermont.  Islay and Goldie both managed
to win their classes in the regular classes.  Shooter got 2nd in a tough 12-18
month class.  He also won his class in the Puppy Sweepstakes.  Lear made the
cut in the specials class and also placed 3rd in the Stud Dog Class.  Misty placed
in the Brood Bitch class and also got second in the Futurity Brood Bitch class.

In July Heatherdale blessed us with 5 wonderful puppies.  Ceil Dove's Boatman is
the dad.  We have 4 girls and 1 boy.  I have also found out that Passport will be
having puppies in the end of August.  So stay tuned for that news!
December 2009 Update:

October was our Eastern Regional Specialty.  We had a fun time!  Islay managed
to win  Winner's bitch in the regular classes!  Then Best of Opposite Sex in the
Puppy Sweepstakes under judge Joan Beutler for the Supported Entry.

In November Lizzy surprized us with two puppy girls.  Seems she and Lear
had an unplanned encounter back in September. Royal and Rosie are
beautiful puppies.  I co-own Royal with Sandy Hetz.

In December Buck (Stag's Leap d'Lux) managed to finish his championship by
winning Best of Winners at the Bethlehem Christmas show.

February 2010 Update:

Doswell, VA, was the site of some new shows for the region including the
Potomac Hound Club.  But the area was under a snow emergency at the same
time!   But the show must go on!  Shooter won Winners Dog two of the three
days and also managed to win a group placement in the BBE group.

In March I travelled to the Louisville KC shows and the Midwest Regional
Specialty and supported entry shows.  One of the days I showed Chase Farms
Braveal Adair d'Lux for Johanna Hanson and we managed to pick up a 4 pt major!!

Later in April I took Adair's sister, Goldie (Wee Farm Balblair d'Lux), who I
co-own with Lee Royer and we got back to back majors on her!
